Just in Time

According to “The Weather Channel” tonight is supposed to be the last night to expect temperatures below 0 degrees. We shall see… As knitters we spend hours working on projects that scream for cooler weather. I’ll admit it…the warmer weather makes me a little sad. Yes, I enjoy beach days and open sunroofs. But I think I might like days wearing wool better….eekkk…I said it….

So…With the last wind chill warning posted tonight…my thoughts turned to Kate and all the wool she had been knitting, hoping to finish in time to wear yet this year.

Kate decided that she was going to make February the month of knitting. She signed up for almost every knitting class that she could at the shop this month. If you have met her before, you know she is all about smiles. She loves knitting, she loves learning new things and can’t wait to try something foreign.

So… Kate signed up for mittens, a sweater and socks all in one month. I was lucky enough to have her in class for all of these and enjoyed my time with her.

This past Monday night she popped in for Knit Night. Taking off her coat and settling in with a pair of mittens on her needles, I noticed her sweater and then the finished pair of socks she pulled out.
