Turtle Dove is suitable for those looking to make their first sweater! This sweater is knit from top down; it has no shaping, and is a loose comfortable sweater.
Advantages of top down knitting will be discussed. Speed swatch, managing multiple increases, increases, knitting thru back loop, purling thru back loop will be demonstrated. [twisted stitch in round and back and forth will be demonstrated, but may choose to make ribbing in traditional fashion]
Two choices discussed for sweater finishing, as noted in pattern.
Students should know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off.
If you’ve knit a hat successfully and want to increase your knitting skills by knitting a sweater, this class may be the ticket!
